Athena Project is dedicated to

supporting and expanding women's artistic contributions to the Denver stage and the wider community. Each year, Athena Project produces the following:

Arts Festival: Includes the world premiere production of a new play by a female playwright, workshop productions of plays by female playwrights, and features female musicians, fashion designers, dancers and artists

Girls' Write Program: Year-long playwriting and play development experience for girls in grades 6-9

Fostering Female Leaders in the Arts: This program leads female dramaturgs, stage managers and directors in workshops designed to support the development of future artistic leaders in the performing arts

Athena Project is a program of the Colorado Nonprofit Development Center, and contributions to CNDC for the benefit of Athena Project are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.


Our 2015 Athena Project Arts Festival runs March 20 - April 5, and includes our Plays In Progress Series, visual art, dance, music and fashion. We also have our popular Writing With Wine program, and Dine + Drink= Donate events keeping our 2015 calendar busy. Learn more
